Vedic Emerald (10)
Emerald is the gemstone for Mercury in Vedic Astrology (Jyotish). We carry only the highest quality, cleanest emeralds available. Both light, minty green emeralds and deep forest green emeralds work for Jyotish.
Our photos are highly magnified, and emeralds always have some form of inclusions by nature. We guarantee our emeralds are the finest quality and clarity possible. They’re much more vivid and beautiful in person.

Green Tourmaline (10)
Green tourmaline is the “uparatna,” or secondary gemstone, for Mercury in Jyotish (Vedic Astrology). All of our natural Brazilian green tourmaline are the finest quality available and a deep green color. It’s not as potent as emerald, so it should be a larger size for good results.
Tourmaline is routinely subject to very low heat treatment, so low that it doesn’t change the structure of the stone. It can’t be detected by laboratory instruments, so it can’t be certified as heated or unheated. Standard industry practice is to assume all tourmaline has been heated, since it can’t be formally verified. This does not impact the astrological properties of tourmaline, as the structure of the gem is not stressed or changed in any way.

Peridot is the third choice gem for Mercury in Jyotish (Vedic Astrology). We source premium quality Burmese peridot, as this is the finest peridot in the world. The gems should be larger than emerald to produce good astrological effect.
