Technically there is no such thing as a “pink ruby,” as GIA will tell you. Once a pink sapphire gets to a certain tone of red, it is classified as a ruby. But outside of gemological terminology, this is a fabulous pink ruby! It’s an ideal gem for someone wanting a 2.5ct Jyotish ruby on a budget. It’s as close to a ruby color as you can get but thanks to that GIA certificate, we got it for half the price it would otherwise been and we’re passing those savings along.
